This page explains what information Ibrahim Afyon collects when you use this website or contact me, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Who I am
This website is operated by Ibrahim Afyon, a New York–licensed insurance broker (licenses LA-1934647, PC-1934647, BR-1934647; NPN 21711447) and Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA® #9932), located at 451 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065. What I collect
Information you give me. If you fill in the contact form or call, I collect what you choose to share: typically your name, phone number, ZIP code, and which topic you want to discuss. If we go on to work together, I may collect the details needed to compare or enroll you in a plan, such as your date of birth, Medicare number, doctors and prescriptions, or — for business insurance — details about your business, payroll and vehicles. I never ask for that through this website, and you should not send it through the contact form.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit). If I add website analytics, it will be noted here, and I will use a configuration that does not track you across other sites.
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not sell your information.
How I use it
- To respond to your enquiry and set up a conversation.
- To compare Medicare, Social Security or other insurance options with you, if you ask me to.
- To submit an application or enrollment you have chosen to make, and to remain your point of contact for it.
- To keep the records that New York State and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services require licensed agents to keep.
I do not use your information for purposes unrelated to your enquiry, and I do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.
Who I share it with
Only where it is needed to do what you asked. That means the insurance carrier whose plan or policy you choose; the Field Marketing Organization that supports my Medicare carrier appointments, where they process the enrollment — and where Medicare rules require your express written consent before your details go to another marketing organization, I obtain it through a separate disclosure naming the recipient; and service providers who run this website, the contact form, or my email (the site and its contact form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which stores form submissions and forwards them to my inbox). I do not sell, rent or trade your information. I may disclose information if required by law or by a regulator such as the New York State Department of Financial Services.
Medicare-specific rules
Medicare marketing is regulated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Before I discuss specific Medicare Advantage or Part D plans with you, I will ask you to complete a Scope of Appointment form so that our conversation stays within the products you want to discuss. I will not contact you about Medicare plans unless you have asked me to, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.
How long I keep it
Ordinary enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are generally deleted within 12 months. Records subject to legal or contractual retention rules — including Medicare marketing and sales call records, which CMS requires agents to keep whether or not you enroll — are kept for the required period, currently ten years for Medicare enrollment records.
Your choices
- You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I am not required to keep it.
- You can ask me to stop contacting you at any time — by phone, or by replying to any message.
- You are never required to use the contact form; calling works just as well.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. I keep client records in password-protected systems and do not store Medicare numbers or health information on this website. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, which is why I ask you not to send sensitive numbers or documents through the contact form.

This site links to medicare.gov, ssa.gov, NY State of Health and licence-lookup sites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted here.
