EmblemHealth (EmblemHealth Plan, Inc. and HIP Health Plan of New York; home office New York, New York) sells the following to New York Medicare beneficiaries: Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO plans with Part D; Dual-eligible (D-SNP) plans; Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policies in New York. For Medigap, EmblemHealth is worth a quote in the Albany region. For 2027 it has no Medicare Advantage plan in the counties I cover, so for Advantage the choice is among the carriers on the county plan pages. Who they are
A New York City-based nonprofit insurer whose Medicare business is strongest downstate. Upstate it matters mostly for Medigap: EmblemHealth's Plan G, high-deductible G and Plan N are among the lower-priced options in the DFS Albany-region comparison. In 2026 its Advantage plans were listed by the Capital Region hospitals with 'does not participate in all plans' notes (Albany Med, Ellis) or for physician services only (St. Peter's).
Plans are issued by EmblemHealth Plan, Inc. and HIP Health Plan of New York, home office New York, New York (55 Water Street, New York, as listed by NY DFS). Named here because New York Insurance Law §2122(b) requires a licensee who names an insurer to give its full name and home-office city.

What changed for EmblemHealth from 2026 to 2027
EmblemHealth no longer sells Medicare Advantage plans in any of the six Capital Region counties for 2027. Across the six Capital Region counties: 2 plans no longer sold.
