A Turkish-speaking insurance broker in the Capital Region

If you or your parents would rather sort out Medicare, car insurance or a business policy in Turkish, you can. I'm a New York–licensed broker, I grew up speaking Turkish, and I work with Turkish-speaking families and business owners across Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga counties every week.

What I help with, in Turkish or English

Why it matters

Insurance is hard to understand in any language. In a second language, over the phone, with a call-centre agent reading from a script, it's nearly impossible to know what you've bought or what you've missed. Most of the problems I fix for Turkish-speaking clients aren't exotic — a car policy that excludes the delivery work someone does on the side, a restaurant with no liquor liability, a parent enrolled in a Medicare plan that doesn't include their doctor. They happened because nobody explained the policy in a language the client could question it in.

How I work

  • The conversation is in whichever language you're more comfortable in — and can switch mid-sentence. Adult children who handle paperwork for their parents are welcome on every call.
  • I'm a broker, not a single company's agent. I compare several carriers for the same coverage and explain the differences.
  • No fee for Medicare plan help. For other insurance I explain the premium, the discounts and any charges before you decide.
  • Licensed and verifiable. New York DFS licences LA-1934647, PC-1934647, BR-1934647; NPN 21711447; RSSA® #9932. How to verify.

Common questions

Short answers to what people ask before they call.

Can the whole process be done in Turkish?

Yes — the conversation, the comparison, the explanation of what each policy does and the claims follow-up. Policy documents themselves are issued in English by the carriers; we go through them together line by line.

My parents are turning 65 and their English is limited. Can you help them with Medicare?

This is one of the most common situations I work with. I explain Parts A, B, C and D in Turkish, check their doctors and prescriptions against each plan, and handle the enrollment. Adult children are welcome on the call. There's no fee for Medicare plan help.

Do you help new arrivals with car insurance?

Yes. Drivers without a US driving history start with higher premiums, but some carriers are far better for new drivers than others, and a New York defensive driving course earns a discount. I'll explain the state minimums and why going a little above them matters.

Do you insure Turkish-owned businesses?

Restaurants, markets, salons, contractors, trucking — regularly. New York requires workers' compensation from the first employee, with DBL and Paid Family Leave following shortly after, and I explain those obligations in Turkish so nothing is missed. See business insurance or the Turkish business page.

Where are you located?

451 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065 — off Northway Exit 9. I meet clients there, at their home or business, or by phone and WhatsApp.
